Gum disease (Periodontal disease) is an infection of the gum and/or bone that support the teeth. There are two types of gum disease classification: gingivitis and periodontitis. Gingivitis is a mild gum disease that affect the gums surrounding the teeth. Periodontitis is a gum disease that affect the gum and the bone that surrounds the teeth.

What causes gum diseases?
