Effects smoking has on your teeth

According to the American Academy of Periodontology and Inside Dental Assisting, people who use tobacco are likely to have more calculus, bone and soft tissue loss, and eventual loss of teeth, than people who do not use tobacco products. Also, dental implants and gum treatment are not as effective. The NIDCR reports approximately 90% of oral cancer deaths are attributable to smoking. Bad breath, discoloring of teeth, loss of taste and oral ulcers are other harmful effects.
